The Rewards of Reading the Qur'an

SUMMARY: Reading the Qur'an is rewarded, even if it is difficult and one stumbles over it.

It was narrated from Aisha that the Messenger of Allah said: "The one who is proficient with the Qur'an will be with the noble and righteous scribes (the angels), and the one who reads it and stumbles over it, finding it difficult, will have two rewards".
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ وَالَّذِي يَقْرَؤُهُ يَتَتَعْتَعُ فِيهِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ لَهُ أَجْرَانِ اثْنَانِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards of reading the Qur'an. It was narrated by Aisha that Prophet Muhammad said that those who are proficient in reciting the Qur'an will be with noble and righteous scribes, which are angels. Even if someone reads it but finds it difficult and stumbles over it, they will still receive two rewards for their effort. This hadith teaches us to never give up on reading or studying the holy book of Allah, as we will always be rewarded for our efforts no matter how hard or easy they may be. It also encourages us to strive to become more proficient in our recitation so that we can gain even more rewards from Allah.
