The Value of Gentleness

SUMMARY: Allah loves gentleness in all things.

It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet said: "Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of being gentle in our words and actions. It is narrated by Aishah, a wife of the Prophet Muhammad, that he said “Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things”. This means that Allah appreciates when we are kind to others and use gentle words when speaking to them. We should strive to be gentle with our family members, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Being gentle can help us build strong relationships with those around us as well as show respect for their feelings and opinions. Additionally, it can also help us stay away from arguments or fights which can lead to negative consequences such as hurt feelings or broken relationships. Therefore, this hadith encourages us to practice gentleness in all aspects of life so that we may be closer to Allah through our good deeds and actions towards others.
