Pray for your parents and seek forgiveness on their behalf .

This hadith speaks of the immense reward that comes from praying for one's parents. It is said that the reward is greater than anything between heaven and earth, even a Qintar which is 12 thousand Uqiyyah. Uqiyyah being a unit of measurement in Islamic tradition and Qintar being an even larger unit. Furthermore, it is said that this prayer will raise someone's status in paradise so much so that they will ask where it came from and be told it was due to their son or daughter praying for forgiveness on their behalf. This hadith teaches us how important it is to pray for our parents as well as how great the rewards are if we do so.
