The Prophet's Braids Upon Entering Makkah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had four braids when he entered Makkah.

It was narrated that Mujahid said: "Umm Hani said: 'When the Messenger of Allah entered Makkah he had four braids.’"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ هَانِئٍ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ مَكَّةَ وَلَهُ أَرْبَعُ غَدَائِرَ ‏.‏ تَعْنِي ضَفَائِرَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the time when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered Makkah. Umm Hani narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had four braids at that time. This shows us how important it is to take care of our appearance and to look presentable, especially in times of celebration or joyous occasions. It also teaches us to be humble and not boastful even in times of success or victory, as the Prophet ﷺ was humble and modest even during his triumphant entry into Makkah. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as a reminder for us to always strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives, including our physical appearance and conduct.
