It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who had dyed his hair with henna and said: 'How handsome this is!’ Then he passed by another who had dyed his hair with henna and Katam, and said: 'This one is more handsome than that one.’ Then he passed by another who had dyed his hair yellow and said: 'This one is more handsome than all of them.’"
This hadith also teaches us to be humble when praising others; even though the Prophet ﷺ was praising these individuals for their unique styles, he did not say that any one was more beautiful than another - rather he said that each person was more handsome than the last. This shows us that we should always strive to be humble when complimenting others so as not to make anyone feel inferior or belittled due to our words or actions.
