EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates that the sandals of the Prophet (ﷺ) had two thongs doubled around their straps. This shows us that even though he was a prophet, he still wore simple and humble clothing and accessories. He did not need to show off or be extravagant in his clothing choices. It also teaches us to be humble and not boastful in our own lives as well. We should strive to live simply and humbly like the Prophet did, instead of trying to show off with expensive items or clothes.

The double thonged straps on his sandals were likely for extra support while walking long distances or during strenuous activities such as horseback riding or running errands for his people. This teaches us that we should always be prepared for whatever life throws at us by being ready with all necessary items needed for any task we may have to do in life.
