Utilizing Animal Skins

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad commanded that the skins of dead animals should be tanned and used.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah commanded that use should be made of the skins of dead animals, if they were tanned".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ أَنْ يُسْتَمْتَعَ بِجُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ إِذَا دُبِغَتْ

The hadith narrated by 'Aishah states that the Prophet Muhammad commanded that animal skins should be tanned and used.
