Sunan Ibn Majah 3569 (Book 32, Hadith 20) #32923
Avoiding Pride

SUMMARY: Pride is a sin and should be avoided as it will lead to Allah not looking at the person on the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection".

QUICK LESSONS:
Avoid pride by humbling oneself before Allah so He may look upon them with mercy and kindness on the Day of Resurrection.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar states that pride is a sin and should be avoided. It warns us that if we let our garments drag out of pride, Allah will not look at us on the Day of Resurrection. This means that we will not receive any mercy or blessings from Allah on this day, which is an important day for all Muslims as it marks the end of life in this world and beginning in the afterlife. Therefore, it is important to avoid pride and humble ourselves before Allah so that He may look upon us with mercy and kindness on this day. We must remember that no matter how much wealth or power we have in this world, none of it matters when compared to what awaits us in the hereafter.
