Sahih al-Bukhari 3444 (Book 60, Hadith 114) #3292
Believing in Allah over Suspecting One's Own Eyes

SUMMARY: Jesus asked a man if he had stolen something, and the man denied it. Jesus then said that he believed in Allah and suspected his own eyes.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Jesus, seeing a man stealing, asked him, 'Did you steal?, He said, 'No, by Allah, besides Whom there is none who has the right to be worshipped Jesus said, 'I believe in Allah and suspect my eyes".

QUICK LESSONS:
Believe in what you know from your faith rather than relying on your senses or what you think you see with your eyes alone; give people an opportunity to explain themselves before making any assumptions or judgments about them based on what you think is true at first glance; have faithfulness towards God; trust God more than yourself as His knowledge is perfect while ours can be flawed or limited at times

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of believing in Allah over suspecting one's own eyes. It was narrated by Abu Huraira who reported that Prophet Muhammad said that when Jesus saw a man stealing something, he asked him if he had done so. The man denied it and said no by Allah besides whom there is none who has the right to be worshipped. In response to this statement of faith from the thief, Jesus said that he believed in Allah and suspected his own eyes. This teaches us an important lesson about faith; we should always believe in what we know to be true from our faith rather than relying on our senses or what we think we see with our eyes alone. We should trust God more than ourselves because He knows best and His knowledge is perfect while ours can be flawed or limited at times.

This also teaches us not to judge people too quickly without giving them a chance to explain themselves first; even though Jesus saw someone stealing with his own eyes, he still gave him an opportunity to explain himself before making any assumptions or judgments about him based on what he thought was true at first glance.
