QUICK LESSONS:
Dress modestly according to Islamic teachings

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about dressing modestly according to the teachings of the Prophet. It is narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Prophet forbade two kinds of dress. These two types are Ishtimalus- Samma and Ihtiba in a single garment, with no part of it upon his private parts. Ishtimalus-Samma means covering one's body completely with a loose fitting garment while Ithiba means wearing a single piece of clothing without any other clothing underneath or on top. Both these styles are forbidden as they do not adhere to Islamic standards for modesty and decency when dressing up. The main idea behind this hadith is that Muslims should always strive to dress modestly and decently in accordance with Islamic teachings so as not to draw attention or cause any harm or discomfort to others around them.
