The Power of Ruqyah Against Evil Eye and Scorpion Stings

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that the only two forms of Ruqyah (incantation) are for protection against the evil eye and scorpion stings.

It was narrated from Buraidah that the Messenger of Allah said: "There is no Ruqyah except for the evil eye or from the sting of a scorpion".

QUICK LESSONS:
Use ruqyahs for protection against evil eyes and scorpion stings

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the power of ruqyah or incantations. It was narrated by Buraidah that the Prophet Muhammad said that there are only two forms of ruqyah - one for protection against the evil eye and another for protection from scorpion stings. The evil eye is a form of envy or jealousy where someone casts an envious glance at something or someone they desire but cannot have. A scorpion sting can cause pain and even death if not treated properly. Therefore, it is important to use ruqyah as a form of protection from these two things in order to stay safe and healthy. By using incantations we can protect ourselves from harm caused by others’ envy or jealousy as well as any physical harm caused by animals such as scorpions.
