The Reality of the Evil Eye

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that the evil eye is real.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amir bin Rabi’ah, from his father, that the Prophet said: "The evil eye is real".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ هِنْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that the evil eye is a real phenomenon and should not be taken lightly.
