The Forbidden Act of Tipping Up Water Skins

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade tipping up water skins, and a man who did so was punished when a snake fell out of it.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah forbade tipping up water skins. After the Messenger of Allah had forbidden that, a man got up at night and tipped up a water skin, and a snake fell out of it onto him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey instructions from religious leaders

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's prohibition against tipping up water skins. A man once disobeyed this command and tipped up a water skin at night, only to have a snake fall out onto him as punishment. This story serves as an example of how Allah punishes those who disobey His commands. It also teaches us that we should always obey the instructions given by the Prophet Muhammad, even if they seem insignificant or unimportant. We should also remember that Allah is watching us at all times and will punish us for our wrongdoings if we do not repent for them.
