Sahih al-Bukhari 329, 330 (Book 6, Hadith 34) #326
Permission to Leave After Tawaf-Al-Ifada

SUMMARY: A woman is allowed to leave after completing the Tawaf-Al-Ifada ritual if she gets her menses.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: A woman is allowed to leave (go back home) if she gets menses (after Tawaf-Al-Ifada). Ibn 'Umar formerly used to say that she should not leave but later on I heard him saying, "She may leave, since Allah's Messenger gave them the permission to leave (after Tawaf-Al-Ifada)".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith discusses the permission given to women who are performing the ritual of Tawaf-Al-Ifada. This ritual is a part of Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage in Islam. The hadith states that if a woman gets her menses during this ritual, she is allowed to leave and go back home. Initially, Ibn Umar did not allow it but later on he accepted it as Allah's Messenger gave them permission for it. Thus, this hadith teaches us that we should accept changes in our lives with an open heart as Allah's Messenger has given us permission for certain things which were not allowed before. It also teaches us that we should be respectful towards women and give them their due rights even during religious rituals like Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage.
