The Prohibition of Tying Up Animals

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad forbade tying up animals.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "The Messenger of Allah forbade tying up animals".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ عَنْ صَبْرِ الْبَهَائِمِ

This hadith is about the prohibition of tying up animals. It was narrated by Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah forbade tying up animals. This means that it is not allowed to tie an animal in a way that restricts its movement or causes it harm or discomfort. This hadith teaches us to be kind and compassionate towards all living creatures and to treat them with respect and care. We should also remember that Allah has given us dominion over the earth but this does not mean we can mistreat any creature on it.
