Slaughtering Animals During Eid

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ used to slaughter animals at the prayer place during Eid.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet used to slaughter at the prayer place (of the 'Eid congregation).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَذْبَحُ بِالْمُصَلَّى

According to this hadith, it was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to slaughter animals at the prayer place during Eid. It is a way of showing gratitude and appreciation for all that Allah has given us, as well as an act of worship and remembrance of Him. The sacrifice also serves as a reminder of our commitment to follow His commands and teachings.
