QUICK LESSONS:
Follow in Prophet Muhammad's footsteps ; Strive towards acts of worship ; Be mindful when selecting an animal .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of buying an animal for sacrifice that resembles the one used by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Yunus bin Maisarah bin Halbas went out with Abu Saeed Az-Zuraqi to buy animals or sacrifice and Abu Saeed pointed to a ram that had some blackness around its ears and jaw which was neither too big nor too small and said to him “Buy this one for them as it seems to resemble the ram of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ”. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to follow in Prophet Muhammad's footsteps in all aspects including sacrificing animals as it is an act of worship. We should also be mindful when selecting an animal for sacrifice as it should be neither too big nor too small but rather resemble what was done by our beloved prophet ﷺ.
