Sunan Ibn Majah 3084 (Book 25, Hadith 203) #32438
The Prophet's Instructions for a Broken Neck During Ihram

SUMMARY: A man's neck was broken while in the state of Ihram and the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed to wash him with water and lote leaves, shroud him in two garments, but not cover his face or head as he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting Talbiyah.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a man’s neck was broken by his mount (from falling) while he was in the state of Ihram. The Prophet said: "Wash him with water and lote leaves, and shroud him in his two garments, but do not cover his face or his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah". Another chain reports the same except a different verb was used for the break of the neck and he said "do not bring him near perfume, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man whose neck was broken while he was in the state of Ihram. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed that he should be washed with water and lote leaves, shrouded in two garments but not covered on his face or head as he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting Talbiyah. This hadith teaches us that even when someone dies during Hajj or Umrah, they should still be treated with respect and dignity. It also teaches us to have faith that Allah will raise them up again on the Day of Resurrection so we should not worry about their fate after death. Furthermore, it encourages us to recite Talbiyah which is an important part of Hajj and Umrah rituals.
