Praying in Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) prayed in Mina on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah and then went to 'Arafat.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah prayed in Mina, on the Day of Tarwiyah (the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah), Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, 'Isha’ and Fajr, then he went in the morning to 'Arafat.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ صَلَّى بِمِنًى يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ وَالْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى عَرَفَةَ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's prayer in Mina, which is a city located near Mecca, on the 8th day of Dhul-Hijjah. This day is known as Tarwiyah and it marks one of the most important days during Hajj, which is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to do at least once in their lifetime if they are able. After praying at Mina, he then went to Arafat where he continued his prayers for Hajj.
