EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the practice of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, to perform a pilgrimage known as an ‘Umrah during the month of Dhul Qa’dah. An ‘Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims can do at any time throughout the year. However, it was narrated by Aishah that the Prophet Muhammad only performed this pilgrimage during this particular month. This hadith teaches us that we should follow in his footsteps and strive to emulate his example whenever possible. It also shows us how important it is for Muslims to take part in religious activities such as pilgrimages and other acts of worship throughout their lives. Furthermore, it encourages us to be mindful of our actions and strive for excellence even when performing simple tasks like an ‘Umrah.
