Remembering and Avoiding Evil

SUMMARY: The Prophet recited a verse from the Quran and encouraged people to remember it and avoid evil.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet recited:-- 'Hal-min-Muddakir' (54:15) (Is there any that will remember) (and avoid evil).
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَرَأَ النَّبِيُّ ‏{‏فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِر

This hadith is about the importance of remembering Allah's words and avoiding evil. The Prophet recited a verse from the Quran which reads "Is there any that will remember" as an encouragement for people to remember Allah's words and avoid evil. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to remember Allah's words in our hearts so that we can stay away from wrongdoings.
