The Sword Zulfiqar and the Day of Badr

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad acquired a sword called Zulfiqar from the spoils of war on the Day of Badr.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah acquired his sword Zulfiqar , from the spoils of war on the Day of badr.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الصَّلْتِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَنَفَّلَ سَيْفَهُ ذَا الْفِقَارِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Badr, which was a battle between Muslims and non-Muslims, Prophet Muhammad acquired a sword called Zulfiqar from the spoils of war. It also serves as an example to show that even in times of war, Muslims should be fair and just when dealing with their enemies. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive for justice and fairness even in difficult situations.
