The Reward of Fighting in Allah's Cause

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of fighting in Allah's cause and how it will be rewarded.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever meets Allah with no mark on him (as a result of fighting) in His cause, he will meet Him with a deficiency".
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَافِعٍ، - هُوَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ - عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، - مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ - عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ مَنْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ أَثَرٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَفِيهِ ثُلْمَةٌ
