The Superiority of Serving Allah

SUMMARY: Doing something for the sake of Allah is better than anything else in the world.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah said: "Going out in the morning in the cause of Allah, or in the evening, is better than the world and what is in it".
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لَغَدْوَةٌ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

This hadith, narrated by Anas bin Malik, speaks to the superiority of serving Allah over anything else in this world. It encourages us to go out and do something for the sake of Allah, whether it be in the morning or evening. This could mean going out to help others or even just praying and worshipping Him. By doing so, we are reminded that nothing can compare to what we will gain from serving Him. We should strive to make our actions pleasing to Him and prioritize His pleasure over all else.
