Generosity in Death

SUMMARY: Allah (SWT) has given us the opportunity to do good deeds by allowing us to donate a third of our wealth at the time of death.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Allah (SWT) has been charitable with you over the disposal of one third of your wealth at the time of your death, so that you may be able to add to the record of your good deeds".

QUICK LESSONS:
Donate a portion of your wealth at death for charitable purposes.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about generosity and charity, even after death. It is narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said that Allah has been generous with us by allowing us to donate one third of our wealth at the time of death, so that we can add to our record of good deeds. This means that even after we have passed away, we can still do something good for others and benefit from it in the afterlife. By donating a portion of our wealth, we are able to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves and also increase our own reward in the hereafter. The hadith encourages us to be generous with what we have and use it for charitable purposes even when we no longer need it ourselves.
