Sunan Ibn Majah 2694 (Book 21, Hadith 80) #32048
Punishment for Women Post-Childbirth

SUMMARY: A woman who has committed a crime should not be punished until she has given birth and the child's sponsorship is secured.

Mu'adh bin Jabal, Abu Ubaidah bin Jararah, Ubadah bin Samit and Shaddad bin Aws narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "If a woman kills someone deliberately, she should not be killed until she delivers what is in her womb, if she is pregnant, and until the child's sponsorship is guaranteed. And if a woman commits illegal sex, she should not be stoned until she delivers what is in her womb and until her child's sponsorship is guaranteed".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect Mothers , Provide Help To Vulnerable People In Society , Take Responsibility For Children .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of protecting women and their rights even when they have committed a crime. The Prophet Muhammad is teaching that women should not be punished until after they have given birth and the child's sponsorship is secured. This means that if a woman commits a crime such as murder or illegal sex, she will not be killed or stoned until after her baby is born and someone takes responsibility for it. This shows how much respect was given to mothers in Islam, as well as how important it was to ensure that children were taken care of even if their mother had done something wrong. It also teaches us about mercy and compassion towards those who are vulnerable in society, such as pregnant women or single mothers who may need extra help in order to provide for their children.
