Sahih al-Bukhari 323 (Book 6, Hadith 28) #320
Kindness and Understanding in Menses

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) showed kindness and understanding when Um Salama informed him that she had her menses.

Narrated Um Salama: While I was lying with the Prophet under a woolen sheet, I got my menses. I slipped away and put on the clothes for menses. The Prophet said, "Have you got your menses?" I replied, "Yes". He called me and I slept with him under the woolen sheet.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) kindness and understanding towards his wife, Um Salama, when she informed him that she was having her menses. He did not show any anger or disappointment but instead called her back to sleep with him under the woolen sheet. This shows us how important it is to be kind and understanding towards others, especially those close to us like our family members. It also teaches us that we should not judge people for things they cannot control such as their physical health or natural bodily functions. We should always strive to be compassionate and forgiving of others no matter what situation they are in.
