The Great Injustice of Joining Others in Worship with Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that joining others in worship with Allah is a great injustice.

Narrated 'Abdullah: When the following Verse was revealed: "It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with wrong (worshipping others besides Allah)" (6:83), the companions of Allah's Messenger asked, "Who is amongst us who had not done injustice (wrong)?" Allah revealed: "No doubt, joining others in worship with Allah is a great injustice (wrong) indeed". (31:13)

QUICK LESSONS:
Believe and worship only One God.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of believing in only one God and not mixing it up with wrong beliefs. It was narrated by Abdullah who was one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. When the verse “It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with wrong” was revealed, his companions asked who amongst them has done injustice or wrong? To this Allah revealed another verse “No doubt, joining others in worship with Allah is a great injustice indeed”. This teaches us that we should only believe and worship one God and not mix it up with any other beliefs or worships as this would be considered a great injustice to Him.
