The Virtue of Responsible Debt Repayment

SUMMARY: Paying off debts in a timely and responsible manner is an admirable quality.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "The best of you - or among the best of you - are those who pay off their debts in the best manner".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ خَيْرَكُمْ - أَوْ مِنْ خَيْرِكُمْ - أَحَاسِنُكُمْ قَضَاءً

This hadith emphasizes the importance of paying off one's debts in a responsible manner. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Prophet Muhammad said, “The best of you - or among the best of you - are those who pay off their debts in the best manner.” This hadith teaches us that it is important to be honest and responsible when it comes to repaying our debts.
