EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by 'Abdullah bin 'Umar, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered that dogs should be killed. This is an example of a ruling in Islamic law known as qatl al-kilab, which means killing of dogs. This ruling is based on the sunnah, or teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is important to note that this ruling does not apply to all types of dogs; rather it applies only to certain types such as hunting and guard dogs. Furthermore, this ruling does not apply if a dog is kept for other purposes such as herding livestock or providing companionship. In conclusion, killing certain types of dogs according to Islamic law is permissible but must only be done in accordance with the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
