QUICK LESSONS:
Take responsibility for your actions; Protect yourself from potential harm; Show mercy towards all creatures
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that there are five kinds of animals that can be killed even if they are found in a sanctuary. These animals include rats, scorpions, kites, crows and rabid dogs. This means that it is permissible to kill these animals even if they are found inside the boundaries of a sanctuary as long as it is done with the intention to protect people from harm or danger. It should be noted however, that this permission does not extend to other types of animals and killing them would still be considered unlawful and punishable by law.

The Prophet ﷺ also taught us an important lesson about taking responsibility for our actions and protecting ourselves from potential harm or danger by being aware of our surroundings and taking necessary precautions when needed. We should also remember to show mercy towards all creatures regardless if they are considered harmful or not as Allah has created them all with purpose and wisdom.
