This hadith is about a letter written by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to 'Adda' bin Khalid bin Hawdhah, which was regarding the purchase of a slave or female slave. The letter stated that it should be from one Muslim to another and that there should be no ailments nor malicious behavior in the purchased person. This hadith teaches us that slavery is not allowed in Islam and it also teaches us how Muslims should treat each other with respect and kindness when engaging in any kind of transaction or business dealings. Furthermore, this hadith also emphasizes on being honest and truthful when dealing with others as well as being mindful of their rights and needs.
