QUICK LESSONS:
Share your resources with others in need

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that hoarding food from the Muslims is a sin and will be punished by Allah. It was narrated by 'Umar bin Khattab, who heard it directly from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The punishment for this sin is leprosy and bankruptcy, which are both difficult to bear. This hadith serves as a reminder to us that we should not hoard food or other resources away from those who need them, but instead share what we have with others in order to help them out. We should also remember that if we do not share our resources with others, then Allah may punish us for our selfishness.
