Fulfilling Vows in the Presence of No Idols

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised a man to fulfill his vow of sacrificing an animal at Buwanah, as there were no idols present.

It was narrated from Maimunah bint Kardam Al-Yasariyyah that : her father met the Prophet when she was riding behind him. He said: "I vowed to offer a sacrifice at Buwanah". The Messenger of Allah said: "Is there any idol there?" He said: "No". He said: " Fulfill your vow". (Hasan)Another chain with similar wording.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّائِفِيِّ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ الْيَسَارِيَّةِ، أَنَّ أَبَاهَا، لَقِيَ النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ وَهِيَ رَدِيفَةٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ بِبُوَانَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏"‏ هَلْ بِهَا وَثَنٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ أَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ بِنَحْوِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about fulfilling one's vows. A man had vowed to sacrifice an animal at Buwanah and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked him if there were any idols present. When he said no, the Prophet ﷺ advised him to fulfill his vow. This hadith teaches us that we should be honest and keep our promises even if it is something small like a vow or oath. We should not break our promises because it is considered wrong in Islam and can lead to bad consequences for us in this world and the hereafter. It also teaches us that we should not make vows or oaths lightly, as they are serious matters that must be taken seriously and fulfilled when necessary.
