EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad exempting his followers from having to pay charity, known as sadaqah, on horses and slaves. This means that they were not required to give a portion of their wealth away for these two items. The Prophet Muhammad was teaching his followers that it was not necessary for them to give away money for these two items, but rather they could use their money in other ways. This hadith also teaches us the importance of being generous with our wealth and helping those who are less fortunate than us. It also shows us how important it is to be mindful of our spending habits so that we can help others in need.
