Be fair when collecting zakat; Do good deeds; Avoid any wrongdoing or injustice towards others; Obey God's commands

This hadith highlights the importance of fairness when collecting Zakah, which is an obligatory charity that Muslims must pay. It was narrated by Suwaid bin Ghafalah that the Prophet's zakat collector came to them and read out his order not to gather separate herds or separate herd for fear of sadaqah. A man then brought him a huge, fat she-camel but he refused to accept it and instead accepted another one with lower quality. He said that no land would shelter him if he went to the Messenger of Allah having taken more than what was due from a Muslim man's camels. This hadith teaches us that we should be fair when collecting zakat and not take more than what is due from people as it goes against Islamic teachings. We should also remember that our actions will be judged by Allah so we should strive to do good deeds and avoid any wrongdoing or injustice towards others.
