Sahih al-Bukhari 3258 (Book 59, Hadith 68) #3115
Delaying Prayers in Hot Weather

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught us to delay the Zuhr prayer until it gets cooler, as the severity of heat is from the increase in heat of Hell (fire).

Narrated Abu Dhar: While the Prophet was on a journey, he said (regarding the performance of the Zuhr prayer), "Wait till it (ie the weather) gets cooler". He said the same again till the shade of the hillocks extended. Then he said, "Delay the (Zuhr) Prayer till it gets cooler, for the severity of heat is from the increase in heat of Hell (fire).

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey Allah's commands even when faced with difficult circumstances .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that when it is hot outside, we should delay our Zuhr prayer until it gets cooler. He said this because he wanted to remind us that the severity of heat we experience on Earth is nothing compared to what awaits those who disobey Allah in Hell. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful and respectful of Allah's commands even when faced with difficult circumstances. We must remember that Allah knows best and will reward those who obey Him with eternal bliss in Paradise.
