Seeking Permission Before Fasting

SUMMARY: It is important to seek permission before fasting when living among a community.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said: "If a man stays among a people, he should not fast without their permission".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، وَخَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا نَزَلَ الرَّجُلُ بِقَوْمٍ فَلاَ يَصُومُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِمْ
