Eating Dates on the Day of Fitr

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) would not leave his house on the day of Fitr until he had eaten some dates.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "The Prophet would not go out on the Day of Fitr until he had eaten some dates".
حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ لاَ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ تَمَرَاتٍ
