Sunan Ibn Majah 1727 (Book 7, Hadith 90) #31079
The Most Beloved Days to Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the most beloved to Allah and that even Jihad in the cause of Allah is not as beloved as these days, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: "There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days," meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: "O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?" He said: "Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back".

QUICK LESSONS:
Doing good deeds such as fasting, praying & giving charity during first 10days of dhul hijja .
EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is informing us about the importance of the first ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. He tells us that these are some of the most beloved days to Allah, where righteous deeds are more accepted than any other time. Even jihad in the cause of Allah is not as beloved during these days unless a person goes out with himself and his wealth without bringing anything back. This teaches us how important it is for Muslims to take advantage of these blessed ten days by doing good deeds such as fasting, praying, giving charity etc., so they can be rewarded by God for their efforts. It also shows us how much value Islam places on selflessness and sacrifice for others; even if it means going out with nothing but yourself and your wealth in order to help those who need it most.
