Sunan Ibn Majah 1715 (Book 7, Hadith 78) #31067
The Reward of Good Deeds

SUMMARY: Fasting for six days after Eid al-Fitr is equivalent to fasting the entire year. Doing good deeds will be rewarded tenfold.

It was narrated from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah , that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever fasts six days after the Fitr will have completed the year, for whoever does a good deed will have the reward of ten like it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Fast for six days after Eid Al Fitr; Do good deeds; Be generous; Show kindness; Be grateful; Have faithfulness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how doing good deeds can be greatly rewarded. It was narrated by Thawban, a freed slave of the Prophet Muhammad, that he said whoever fasts six days after Eid al-Fitr has completed a full year's worth of fasting and will receive a reward for their good deed that is ten times greater than what they put in. This means that if someone does something small but beneficial to others, they will receive an even greater reward from Allah in return. This hadith encourages us to do more acts of kindness and generosity as it shows us how much our efforts are appreciated by God and how much we can benefit from them ourselves too.
