The Benefits of Suhur and Resting During the Day

SUMMARY: Eating Suhur and taking a brief rest during the day can help in fasting and praying at night.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said: "Seek help by eating Suhur for fasting that day, and by taking a brief rest (at midday) for praying at night".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ: ‏ "‏ اسْتَعِينُوا بِطَعَامِ السَّحَرِ عَلَى صِيَامِ النَّهَارِ وَبِالْقَيْلُولَةِ عَلَى قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ
