Sunan Ibn Majah 1673 (Book 7, Hadith 36) #31025
Eating Out of Forgetfulness While Fasting

SUMMARY: Eating out of forgetfulness while fasting does not invalidate the fast, as it is Allah who has fed and given drink to the person.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever eats out of forgetfulness while fasting, let him complete his fast, for it is Allah Who has fed him and given him to drink".
