QUICK LESSONS:
Fast during Ramadan out of faith & hope for reward
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Abu Hurairah speaks about the rewards that come with fasting during the month of Ramadan. It is said that whoever fasts out of faith and with the hope for a reward will be forgiven their previous sins. This means that if someone has done something wrong in their past and they fast during this holy month with a sincere heart then Allah will forgive them for what they have done wrong. This teaches us to always strive to do good deeds in order to receive Allah's mercy and forgiveness. Additionally, it encourages us to have faith in Allah's promises as He is always willing to forgive those who repent sincerely.
