Facing the Qiblah at Funerals

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) attended a funeral and sat facing the Qiblah.

It was narrated that Bara’ bin 'Azib said: "We went out with the Messenger of Allah for a funeral, and he sat facing the Qiblah (prayer direction)".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَاذَانَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ ـ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَقَعَدَ حِيَالَ الْقِبْلَةِ
