Sunan Ibn Majah 1529 (Book 6, Hadith 97) #30881
The Prophet's Compassion for All

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for a black woman, even though he was not informed of her death until later.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amir bin Rabi’ah, from his father, that a black woman died and the Prophet was not told about that. Then he was informed of it, and he said: "Why did you not tell me?" Then he said to his Companions: "Line up in rows to pray for her," and he offered the funeral prayer for her.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the compassion and equality that the Prophet Muhammad showed to all people regardless of their race or background. When he was informed of the death of a black woman, he asked why he had not been told earlier and then proceeded to lead his companions in prayer for her. This shows that everyone is equal in the eyes of Allah and should be treated with respect and kindness regardless of their background or identity. It also teaches us to show compassion towards others even if we do not know them personally as it is our duty as Muslims to care for one another.
