The Passing of Ibrahim, Son of the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) died when he was small and there will be no Prophet after him.

Isma’il bin Abu Khalid said: "I said to 'Abdullah bin Abi Awfa: 'Did you see Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ?’ He said: 'He died when he was small, and if it had been decreed that there should be any Prophet after Muhammad , his son would have lived. But there is no Prophet after him.’"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the passing of Ibrahim, son of the Prophet Muhammad. Ismail bin Abu Khalid said that he asked Abdullah bin Abi Awfa if he had seen Ibrahim, to which Abdullah replied that he had died when he was small. He then went on to explain that if it were decreed for there to be a prophet after Muhammad, his son would have lived but since there is no prophet after him, this could not happen. This hadith teaches us that we should accept Allah's decree and not question it as it is part of His divine plan for us. We should also remember to be grateful for all our blessings and accept whatever comes our way with patience and faith in Allah's plan.
