QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect for those who have passed away by attending funerals and paying respects in whatever way possible .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of showing respect for those who have passed away. It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad, Abu Bakr and Umar were seen walking ahead of a funeral procession. This shows that they respected the deceased and wanted to show their support for them in their final journey. It also serves as an example for us to follow in our own lives; we should always show respect for those who have passed away by attending funerals and paying our respects in whatever way we can.

The hadith also teaches us about humility; even though these three men were some of the most important people in Islamic history, they still chose to walk at the front of a funeral procession instead of riding or being carried on a horse or camel like many other people would do at that time. This shows us that no matter how important we are, we should always be humble and remember our place before Allah SWT.
