Visiting the Sick: An Example of Compassion

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) visited Jabir bin 'Abdullah when he was sick, accompanied by Abu Bakr.

Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah came walking to visit me (when I was sick), as did Abu Bakr, when I was with Banu Salimah.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ عَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ مَاشِيًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَنَا فِي بَنِي سَلِمَةَ
