Praying on the Day of Conquest

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen praying on the Day of Conquest and he put his shoes on his left.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Sa’ib said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah praying on the Day of the Conquest, and he put his shoes on his left".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ صَلَّى يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَجَعَلَ نَعْلَيْهِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of conquest, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen praying. This is an example for us to follow as Muslims, as prayer is one of the five pillars in Islam. It is important to remember that when we pray, we must take off our shoes and place them to our left side. This hadith shows us how important it is for us to follow the Sunnah and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). We should strive to emulate him in all aspects of life so that we can be closer to Allah SWT.
